BALANCED TEAMS

We strive to create balanced hockey by moderating our divisions and creating the team rosters. This leads to MANY intense games going into overtime!

We carefully evaluate player skills to ensure fair competition. Players may be moved between divisions to maintain competitive balance.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Sign up as an individual player for either weeknight or weekend games
  2. You can request to stay with up to 2 friends during registration
  3. Our team places you in the appropriate division based on your skill level
  4. You'll be assigned to a balanced team within your division
  5. Note: Players may be traded between teams or moved between divisions to maintain competitive balance
  6. Enjoy a season of exciting, balanced hockey games!

PLAYER INFORMATION

You'll join as an individual player and be placed on a team. You can name up to 2 people you'd prefer to stick with upon registration.

Please be aware, you can and will be traded for balance purposes. You may also be moved up or down divisions based on your skill level.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What skill levels do you accommodate?
We currently offer E and D level divisions, with a mixed E/D for weekend games. We evaluate all players and place them in appropriate divisions to ensure competitive balance.
Can I join with my friends?
Yes! When you register, you can list up to 2 friends you'd like to play with. We'll do our best to keep you together while maintaining balanced teams.
How many games in a season?
Our regular seasons typically include 10 games, up to 12 including playoffs.
What if I can't make every game?
We understand players have obligations. We have a fill-in system through our Discord server where you can throw your name in the hat to fill-in for other games.
Where are games played?
Games are played at various rinks across Long Island. The specific locations will be noted in the schedule once it's released. Check out our schedule to get an idea of where we play!
